Trots are grouped under three main categories:

- Word Power Trotter. Trots featuring tips on vocabulary building, grammar, and creative writing.
- Trotter Tales. Uncanny stories of Wordtrotter characters taking part in current events and interacting with famous people from around the world.

- Look for the game words (highlighted in blue) in the trots. They are the bugwords or game words that you have to catch in Wordtrotter.
- Click on a bugword and you will uncover a hidden Wordtrotter tip: definition, synonyms, and antonym exactly as they appear in the video game.
Each bugword also comes with language helpers like pronunciation guide, etymology, and sample sentences.
Trotter is designed to have the bugwords impressed in your mind even before you encounter them in Wordtrotter.
